As of the 1st of July 2022 Czech Republic will take over the EU rotating Council Presidency for the second time. In conjunction with France and Sweden, Czech Republic is part of the Trio Presidency (1st January 2022 to 30th June 2023).
Under the slogan slogan “Europe as a task: rethink, rebuild, repower” Czech Republic’s priorities will focus on:
- Managing the refugee crisis and Ukraine’s post-war recovery
- Energy security
- Strengthening Europe’s defence capabilities and cyberspace security
- Strategic resilience of the European economy
- Resilience of democratic institutions
